Adi Gunawan

Adi Gunawan was born in Yogyakarta, Indonesia in 1974 and graduated from the Institute of Fine Arts twenty five years later. He comes from a select group of artists who have emerged in the last few years as Indonesia has grown into one of Asia's leading art centres.

Adi's highest accolade thus far was representing Indonesia at the Beijing Olympics 2008 Fine Arts Exhibition where he was bestowed the further honor of an Olympic Torch Award.  His sculptures will tour Hong Kong, the United States and many other countries before the collection will be permanently displayed at the Olympic Museum in Lausanne, Switzerland.

The last three years has seen art collectors from Asia and the western world change the 'concentration of wealth' from China to Indonesia.  This shift in direction has elevated Indonesia to an extremely high and well respected level amongst major art collectors, institutions and respected auction houses.
