A RETROSPECTIVE OF HER LIFE’S WORK: VAL

In loving tribute to French sculptor Val, this exhibition delved into her most iconic artworks throughout her entire artistic journey from 2004 to 2016.

Val

b. 1967 – 2016, France

Born in France in 1967, artist Val (Valérie Goutard) lived in South America, Africa and Europe before settling in Asia in 2004. Once in Thailand, she discovered the traditional know-how of bronze alongside Thai foundries, establishing her workshop in Bangkok where she worked together with her team.


UNITY: FROM MARGARET RIVER AND BEYOND

‘Unity’ was a duo exhibition showcasing the works of Australian artists, glass artist Rick Cook and mixed media artist Peter Usher as they depict a united portrayal of the natural strength and depth present in the nature around us.

Peter Usher

b. 1973, Australia

Peter Usher is a contemporary landscape painter based in Western Australia. Each of his works is a fusion of landscape and his personal experiences that resonates deeply within the viewers imagination. Peter has won many art prizes and his work is now found in numerous private collections around the world.

 

William Cook

b. 1972, Australia

William Cook is an emerging glass artist from Australia. Based on a reflection of nature and its environment, Cook’s body of works are born from his innate creativity and innovation with glass colors. With limited control over how the patterns would result due to the developing technique, Cook does his part to ensure the harmony, form and flow are ideal while shaping and polishing the blown glass.


CELLO CONCERTO

Together with the most sensational talents in classical music, Ng Pei-Sian, Principal Cellist of the Singapore Symphony Orchestra, and Gregory Bennett Walmsley of the London Philharmonic Orchestra, REDSEA Gallery held a lovely evening of Art & Wine.

This was a group exhibition featuring Zhuang Hong Yi, James Austin Murray, Peter Usher, William Cook, and Val.

 


THE KUNG-FU SERIES

International award-winning artist, Zhong Chen, held his very first Singapore exhibition at REDSEA Gallery showcasing his trans-cultural and expressive paintings on canvas.

b. 1989, China

Zhong Chen is a Chinese-born Australian artist who has held over 60 group exhibitions to date, and has gained acclaim as a three-time acclaim as a three-time Finalist in the Archibald Prize, the Wynne Prize, among others.


SALVADOR DALI AND PIERRE ARGILLET: THIRTY YEARS OF COLLABORATION

This unique anthology of works by iconic Surrealist artist, Salvador Dali, showcased his etchings and drawings from the renowned Pierre Argillet Collection.

A RUSSIAN ROMANCE

In “A Russian Romance”, Anna Berezovskaya created a world of fascinating beauty filled with an unfamiliarity that still resonates with the viewer through the fleeting moments of beauty, joy and playfulness in everyday life.

Anna Berezovskaya

b. 1986, Russia

Anna Berezovskaya is an internationally acclaimed artist from the town of Yakhroma, Russia. Her contemporary figurative paintings have a flare for old-master influenced fantasy and surrealism, resulting in her signature style which she refers to as Poetic Realism.
