Established in 2002, Red Sea Gallery is owned by British couple, Chris and Charlie Churcher. Having lived in Singapore for almost a decade, the decided the time was right to realise their dreams. The couple opened what has become one of Singapore's most vibrant art centres.

Red Sea is housed in an old army barracks in Dempsey Road. Dempsey, in its current guise, is a hub for eating, drinking, shopping and culture. Red Sea is proud to participate in the historical fabric of Singapore, maintaining the texture of previous eras, whilst the interior is contemporary and inspiring.

In December 2008, Red Sea opened a 2,6000 sq. ft. gallery in Brisbane, Australia, launched as a joint-venture with long term friend, Lee Steer. The international expansion of Red Sea will bring contemporary art to a wider audience and further promote Red Sea's vision.

Red Sea Gallery exhibits a wide selection of original paintings, sculpture, drawings and original prints by both emerging and established artists from South East Asia and around the world.

Red Sea opens its doors for visitors to discover art. Close interaction between the gallery owners and the artists provides customers with initimate insight to the artwork; knowledge of when, where and how the work has been produced, along with personal information and background on each artist.

Both Red Sea-Singapore and Red Sea-Brisbane offer unique space available to hire for private parties and corporate events. Red Sea gallery also provides a corporate art rental scheme.
